People in my town of Tampa are all choked up in getting an IKEA superstore, which reminded me that there was a firm in Nashville (http://www.modernnash.com/) that picks up and delivers IKEA items purchased in the Atlanta store for Tennessee customers. They can order online and deliver into Tennessee for less money than having the bulky items shipped by Ikea.
Are there probably other popular stores where this arrangement would work. “ I live in North Dakota, but I wish I could buy and get stuff in Minneapolis.” The secret is you need a truck full of items for each delivery and a short straight route to a local pick-up spot. Home delivery would be extra.
