On in every thirteen Americans work for a non-profit company and while jobs are advertised on all the major job boards, there are some niche sites to visit.  Salaries were low even before the recession.

 IDEALIST.ORG   By way the largest location for non-profit jobs and opps.

NON-PROFIT OYSTER  This is an interesting website and often unusual jobs.

RELIEFWEB.INT   Is mainly a listing of global non-profits but shows websites.

OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS  A new site to me – seems to be well-organized.

NON-PROFIT JOBS   Mainly a listing series with dozens of job openings.

BEST ARTISTIC JOB SITES

Most Artistic Job Boards tend to be loaded with technical work, but these job sites have listings for illustrators, freelance artists, and photographers.  Here are my picks:

 LEARNING TREE   A Christmas card firm that uses artists since 1949

ART DEADLINES LIST  A huge listing of art jobs, contests, and grants.

AVANTI PRESS  An unusual card firm that wants unusual work.

DRAGON PENCIL  This firm publishes children’s books and hires artists.

OATMEAL STUDIOS   Hires talented artists for cards and projects.
