Senior Op: Give Out Free Drug Discount Cards

The for-profit discount drug card company NBBI is now calling its program the COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, but it works the same way. For $199 and an annual renewal fee of $99 (but only $99 and $45 if you are 62 years old!), you get 10,000 discount cards to give to people who need a 15% brand and 55% generic drug and medical equipment discount.  You get two free websites and a training guide and contact help.

This is a BBB approved program, accepted by most major pharmacies from Wal-Mart to Walgreens.  There are even cards for pet medical supplies.  How do you make money? You get 75 cents per prescription filled.

The key to success is distributing these cards to social workers, counselors, clinics, food distribution sites, shelters – wherever lower income people go.  Reach people who need drugs not properly covered by Medicaid.  Give the cards to middlemen who know people who might use the card in emergencies.
