Daily Specials: Can Anyone Top Groupon?

Some people are so stuck on Group-on , they don’t realize there’s some interesting competition out there.  Compare these websites if you don’t know them.

Google Offers lists national deals on every type of product.  Restaurant.com is obviously a niche site, but it offers a home biz opportunity to reruit local restaurants to their site.

Living-Social offers less stuff but a lot of big priced items including shows.  There are a lot of fashion sites: for women, try Rue La La; for men, try Thrillist-Nation

Best 2013 Rebate Websites To Save Money Online

There are mega-sites that offer cash and product rebates for purchases online at major retailers where you might shop in the first place.  Here are our choices:

E-bates offers a $10 gift yard for joining and claims some 1,200 retail stores belong to their program.  While this is the biggest rebate giver, I don’t like their opening pressure tactics.  Big Crumbs makes it very clear they plan to beat the first firm, but you’ll have to evaluate their stores and offers to see if it is a better deal.

Mr. Rebates claims over 2,000 stores and has a good interface to look up stores by type and savings.   U-promise is a different type of rebate program, giving people the opportunity to save up for college (all my kids got free rides so I have not tried this). Shop-at-Home has four million members and is best known for its coupons.
